Members' Awards: Members' announcements of awards that are not affiliated with CPSA or CPSA 112.

Laurie Bebick I won third prize for mixed media (colored pencil over an ink wash) in the Third Annual Grafton Arts and Music Festival this weekend. Kelly Lewis I'm teaching three classes for adults and a one day workshop for teens at Tower Hill this summer. Colored Pencil Botanicals - Saturdays, June 21 – July 26, 9 A.M. – 12 Noon; Fruit Trees and Branches in Colored Pencil - Saturdays, August 25 – September 29, 9 A.M. – 12 NOON; Painting Butterflies in Colored Pencil - Thursdays, June 19 – July 10, 9 A.M. – 12 NOON. Find the course descriptions online at Towerhillbg.org. I've also got four pieces in the Laura Erlich Gallery in Marblehead, Mass. Holly Bedrosian The biggest news I have is that my piece "Brass Ensemble" was juried into the CPSA International Competition. Cynthia Brunk was awarded First Place, Drawing, in the Cape Cod Art Association's "Originality" exhibition for a piece titled "Shadowland." Bev Fuller I am currently having a one-woman show at the Cape Cod Five Orleans branch. A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO CINDY BRUNK for being our second member to achieve Signature status with her picture “Sam”. Signature is awarded to active members who have been accepted into the International show 3 times within 10 years. This entitles them to use the initials "CPSA" after their name. CPSA also has a Merit Award Program recognizing outstanding artists juried into a specified number of shows with no time limit. Naomi Aho I’ve been busy getting some pieces made in time to bring to the gallery where I show my work. The “season” will be starting up this Friday evening. I had surgery on both hands this fall/winter for severe carpal tunnel syndrome, so I wasn’t able to get much of anything done until early spring (also why I didn’t submit anything to CPSA this year!!). My big news is that I had a piece accepted into the annual juried show at Salmagundi in NYC, which is coming up at the end of June. Susan Doyle I've been showing and selling at the Monadnock Fine Art Gallery in Keene. Their web site is monadnockfineart.com. You can click on different artists and see the art work displayed there. Art Walk in Keene was a great success, with 77 artists represented (I was one). Debbie Friedman Debbie has been very busy. She has been accepted in the CPSA International Exhibition and her picture “Bird’s Nest” has been accepted in the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts 97th Annual Juried Exhibition which is running now thru July. Debbie won first place on her picture “Still-life with Broken Wings” at the Wellesley Society of Artists Annual Juried Exhibition in November, 2007. For her picture “Catbird Building Nest” she won the Canson, Inc. Graphics Award at the Academic Artists Association’s 58th National Exhibition of Contemporary Realism in Art. This summer Debbie is showing her collection of colored pencil drawings and giclee prints in a oneperson show , “Nature, Nesting” at the Dorset Tea Cafe from June 1st thru August 2nd. The Dorset Tea Cafe is located in Wellesley, MA and can be found at www.dorsetcafe.com/news.html. Liz Winchester Larson I just got this award over the weekend. First Place in the Mixed Media, Graphics, and Collage Category for a colored pencil and pastel piece of mine titled "Onions and a Plum" at the Keyes Art Group Annual Show in Milford, NH.
